Fire Master for the Rescue Service in Eskilstuna
We are looking for a Fire Master for the Rescue Service in Eskilstuna.
With us, you will work in an engaged team with a strong sense of community. Your job varies, and you contribute to the entire operation. The Rescue Service is part of the Community Building Administration in Eskilstuna Municipality. We have five fire stations with a total of 150 employees, of which about half work full-time at the main fire station in Eskilstuna. Since 2022, we have been collaborating with four other rescue service organizations in a joint rescue management system, Rescue Region East. Together, we are part of a broader collaboration, ranging from joint training to the utilization of shared resources.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Fire Master, you contribute to the development and efficiency of Eskilstuna's rescue service. The main tasks are to implement and prepare the organization to handle incidents and accidents in the community. All Fire Masters have at least one area of expertise and are responsible for training and development within that area. This position has functional responsibility for fire. In addition to further developing the area, you will follow up on the work we carry out and monitor the external environment. You will conduct training for both internal staff, external actors, and citizens.
The role also includes acting operationally and functioning as a rescue leader or large sector chief. You will be part of a group of 6 Fire Masters who share the operational function of incident leaders within the Eskilstuna rescue service. Besides being a role model in operational and everyday work, you will ensure good communication channels both within and outside the organization to ensure that accurate information is disseminated.
In the future, the job responsibilities may also include conducting inspections. If you have not already completed the Inspection A training or equivalent training, you should be interested in undergoing the training in the future.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with training in LK 2 (incident leader) or equivalent training. If you have work experience from a similar position within the rescue service, it is a significant advantage. Training in leadership, staff training, or Inspection A is also meritorious. You have a B driver's license and are accustomed to using IT in your daily life.
As a person, you are positive, engaged, and have a good ability to inspire and motivate others in daily work. You possess clear leadership qualities such as clarity in communication, decisiveness in action, and a sensitivity to both employee and organizational needs. You build trust by being present and secure in your leadership. You serve as a role model, both in operational efforts and in everyday work, where you demonstrate responsibility, professionalism, and good judgment. You have a holistic perspective on the operation and understand how different parts interact to achieve our common goals.
We look forward to your application!
